The Shrine Museum provides valuable background on the life and legacy of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton, from her early life, marriage and travels, to her conversion and life of charitable works.
Exhibits and artifacts illustrate Elizabeth’s life, her many accomplishments, and the canonization process. Helpful docents are also on hand to help orient you to highlights of the Shrine. You'll also want to take time for the 15-minute orientation movie, shown regularly in the theater.
To understand more about Mother Seton before you visit, you may review her biography online. Additional educational resources for teachers are available by contacting the Seton Shrine.
Hours The Basilica, Visitor Center, historic buildings, and Gift Shop are open daily from 10 am to 4:30 pm, except Mondays. Only the Basilica is open on Mondays.
